Position #1 – Propulsion Systems Stress ( x 1 )
Total Stress experience: 10+ years
Abaqus (FEM software): 5+ years’ experience
Proficient in performing stress analysis on valves, welds, piping systems.
Proficient in analysis of pressure vessels
Propulsion systems analysis specifically experience preferred.
Experience with analysis of carbon overwrap pressure vessels preferred. Hybrid preferred. Remote acceptable for the ideal candidate
Position #2 – FEM
Total Stress Experience: 10+ years
Previously responsible for creation, and management of, vehicle-level (global) FEMs
Looking for persons who have performed this in the recent past (previous 3 years)
5+ years FEMAP experience
Ideally this is recent experience.
Proficient with both Nastran NX and Nastran MSC
Hybrid or Remote is acceptable.
Position #3 – Landing Gear
Minimum 8 years’ experience in Stress analysis of systems/mechanisms
Minimum 3 years’ experience with analysis of aircraft landing gears Experience with Fatigue and Fracture analysis Hybrid or Remote is acceptable
Position #4 – Partner Oversight Team
Minimum 15 years Stress Experience
Previous experience as a Stress LEAD or MANAGER of AIRFRAME STRUCTURES stress analysis
Has previously held stress signature authority.
Minimum for Notes and Drawings
Ideally for FEM
MRB/Tags/Liaison signature authority only is not sufficient.
Self-starter / motivated
Experience with both Composites AND Metallics
Engineer will need to be ok with the following:
Comfortable acting as a focal and as a delegate of VG Stress when needed.
This position will be part of a team responsible for supplier oversight and coordination.
This position will not be analysis-heavy in that the team member will not be responsible for performing the analysis themselves, but instead team members will be responsible for checking analysis of others. THIS POSITION NEEDS TO BE HYBRID / ONSITE.? Team member will need to be able to work from Tustin office 3x weekly.
Position #5 – Interiors
Minimum 8 years’ experience with INTERIORS STRESS
Proficient / knowledgeable with both composites and metals
Can demonstrate familiarity with commercial aircraft certification requirements.
Experience with FEMAP is preferred. Hybrid preferred. Remote acceptable for the ideal candidate
