Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized Professional Staffing and Recruiting firm that is currently looking for a Civil Design Engineer. This is a great opportunity with a civil engineering firm out in the West Suburbs of Chicago.
Responsibilities:
Prepare final construction documents including Engineering Plans, Specifications and Estimates.
Proficient in MicroStation or AutoCAD relative to civil engineering construction document preparation.
Perform engineering site design including grading, stormwater, water main, sanitary sewer, and roadway / access elements.
Perform quantity calculations from engineering construction documents.
Perform storm sewer calculation and stormwater detention basin routing with a basic understanding of hydraulics and hydrology.
Ability to assist with construction observation of site development or local agency projects.
Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
Education & Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in of Civil Engineering or related engineering field.
8-10 years of experience in civil engineering field.
AutoCAD or MicroStation
Project Management experience
Engineer In Training Certificate in Illinois preferred, however candidates with commensurate experience will be considered.
