JSG is looking for an Accountant in Gardena, CA!
Skills Needed: SAP Experience a MUST, STRONG Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) Reconciliation, Monthly close, Balance Sheets, Costing experience a plus but not a must.
Must have an accounting degree and work experience in a manufacturing environment.
The Accountant provides expertise in performing a variety of complex accounting activities for the financial statements including the balance sheet, statement of retained earnings, income statement and statement of cash flows. Ensures the integrity of the accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.
Job Duties:
- Classifies, examines, and analyzes accounting records and prepares related financial reports and statements
- Maintains general ledger and generates monthly financial statements
- Participates in the monthly close process by generating various journal entries, preparing required reconciliations, and analytically reviewing specific general ledger accounts for accuracy and proper valuation
- Maintains facility fixed asset records including property tax supporting documentation
- Collects tax information and prepares sales tax returns
- Performs annual company internal audits for finance and accounting
- Education: Post-Secondary Degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectation
- Experience in auditing or credentials, and proficient with Microsoft Office applications and database management tools
- Knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and financial analysis acquired through related work experience
- Strong analytical and independent problem solving skills to evaluate financial results, projections and data mining
