Johnson Service Group is looking for an Admin Asst for one of our Clients in San Jose.  This position will be working on various programs supporting the Online Shopping Cart program, which provides tools and equipment for residents and businesses to save water.

Responsibilities:

  • Using effective customer service skills to promptly follow up with customers to confirm program eligibility and to refer customers to relevant resources, including accurately relaying the next steps of respective water conservation programs.
  • The Admin Asst will be responsible for accurately communicating relevant regulations, program incentives, and program expectations to the public.
  • Research, documentation, and process improvement will be needed for successfully filling this role's job duties.
  • This position will require working in an office and on occasion going to the Warehouse for supplies.
  • Some lifting of boxes may be required.
  • Position will need to coordinate closely with Conservation staff and Administrative staff, as well as other parties.
  • The position may also include receiving calls on the Water Conservation Hotline and directing calls to the appropriate staff.
  • Prepare correspondence.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail, as well as package and send mail.
  • Store, maintain and retrieve a wide variety of active and inactive Client records, information, and files.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of best practices for office procedures, methods, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures of record keeping, file maintenance and retention.
  • Familiar with common desktop applications and software (MS Office).
  • Knowledge of mathematical principles and English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.   
  • Answering phones and customer service skills.
  • Candidate should be able to coordinate a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidate should also be able to work independently, as well as within a team.
  • Ability to learn a variety of general administrative work.
  • Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to learn and adhere to program guidelines and be able to learn to use a variety of office equipment.
  • Candidate should be in possession of a valid California driver's license.
  • Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
  • One plus years’ experience
