Johnson Service Group, a nationally recognized recruiting firm, is targeting a Regional Application Engineer for our global manufacturing client in the Salt Lake City area. The incumbent will technically manage sales teams/channels, product management, R&D and serve as the point of contact for end customers.
This is a Direct Hire position, local to the Salt Lake City, Utah area, reporting to the Sr. Regional Applications Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Technical expertise in low voltage drives, AC & DC, PLC, HMI, PAC and general applications.
- Initiate client support, escalations, impact containment, quality improvement and projected resolutions.
- Electrical and mechanical engineering fundamentals to define, develop, and resolve customer issues and cost-effective solutions.
- Development and delivery of applications, advanced technical training for channel partners. Provide expert product knowledge to ensure continuous and ongoing improvements of methods, processes, productivity, quality, and cost analysis.
- Collaboratively create tools to guide and develop technical teams in the applications of PAC, PLC, HMI and LV products, identifying opportunities to develop applications.
- Lead safety/compliance and work rules/regulations on energized electrical equipment to enforce safety standards amongst teams working in direct contact with energized equipment.
- Setting up and perform product testing in the lab to address customer questions, provide technical notes, whitepapers, and technical training, while managing customer relationships and leveraging key consulting engineering firms to promote products and services.
Qualifications:

- Associates Degree, Electrical background preferred and 7 years of application in low voltage drives.
- OR, bachelor’s degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of applicable experience.
- Ability to travel up to 70% in assigned territory, typically domestic.
