Johnson Service Group is looking for Assistant Field Biologists. Will assist with completing biological preconstruction surveys for nesting birds and sensitive species that are required by Stream Maintenance Program permit requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with on-site biological monitoring for SMP maintenance work.
- Assist with biological assessments of potential projects to fulfill reporting requirements to regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of local wildlife species,
- Ability to identify local birds.
- Knowledge in Biology, Conservation, Ecology.
- Basic skills using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and GIS.
- Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in biology, ecology, botany, zoology, or a related discipline in a life sciences field. A Master’s degree in biology, ecology, botany, zoology, or a related discipline in a life sciences field from an accredited college or university may substitute for one year of the required experience.
- One (1) year of experience performing professional-level responsibilities as a biologist involving a significant amount of field work.
