Johnson Service Group. Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Business Intelligence (BI) Developer for our municipality client in downtown Los Angeles, CA.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of work experience as a Lead Developer or Architect in data analytics design and development.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience working with IBM Cognos Analytics 11.0, and DataStage.
- Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL for profiling and analyzing the data.
- Solid knowledge of Data Warehousing, Dimensional Modeling (Star Schema, OLAP Cubes, Advanced Fact, and Dimension Table Techniques, Slowly Changing Dimensions, Bus Matrix Mapping) and various data modeling techniques to support Business Intelligence (BI) applications.
- Proficient with relational databases including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Access, etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Responsibilities:
- Design logical data mappings and write SQL queries in Oracle or relevant RDBMS.
- Ability to identify and diagnose database related issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Architect and develop business intelligence (BI) solutions, in accordance with enterprise standards and related user requirements.
- Define and implement technical requirements and data architectures for the data warehouse.
- Create technical design and specifications for reports/dashboards.
- Contribute to the design, implementation, support and ongoing enhancement of a data warehouse and data mart environments.
- Design/manage the information access and security requirements for a data warehouse.
- Define and implement production release requirements.
- Will interface with business users to identify and maximize opportunities to utilize data warehouse to improve business processes.
- Evaluate, plan, design and implement new data marts and data warehouse.
- Deliver actionable reports, scorecards, dashboards, metadata or sematic modelling (cubes), and analytical outputs to improve business performance to ensure the reliability, consistency and availability of the data warehouse.

Length of Assignment: 6-month contract
Work schedule: Hybrid
Compensation: Up to $70.00 per hour
