Johnson Service Group is currently searching for a BSEE with PCB Design CAD Tools experience. FPGA/SOC, High speed Print Circuit Boards

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Direct involvement in the development of new track measurement solutions and applications.
  • Designing electronic systems and PCBAs for our current and future sensor systems.
  • High-speed board design involving FPGA SOC devices, preferably Intel Arria 10/ Stratix 10.
  • Owning the entire PCBA design cycle; architecture definition, component selection, schematic capture, simulation, layout, DFM/DFT, bring-up, verification, environmental and EMC compliance and vehicle integration.
  • Active collaboration with Firmware team for board bring up.
  • Analyze Camera/Laser module performance and noise data and create appropriate documentation for sharing info with boarder team.
  • Work in close liaison with other developers, Manufacturing and Service teams.
  • Incubating new technologies into research prototypes.
  • All other duties as assigned
Some travel to site locations maybe up to 20%. 

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required; Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (or a related field) from an accredited university preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of industry or university research experience in high-speed electronics design, analysis, test, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in electronics design (EDA) tools such as Altium.
  • Experience with high-speed PCB layout.
  • Familiarity with design for high-speed interfaces and FPGA SOC bus architectures.
  • Experience in prototype bring-up, debugging, functional verification, and manufacturing support.
  • Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, and signal generators.
  • Test and Automation with Python or similar scripting tools.
  • Write programs and scripts to test and integrate new hardware into our systems.
  • Understand the fundamentals of cameras and optics.
  • Familiarity with Robotics systems
  • Background designing or testing sensors such as lidars, 3D cameras and vision systems
  • RTL Design using Verilog.
  • Knowledge of C, C++, Labview and Matlab is a plus.
