Johnson Service Group is seeking a Components Engineer for our global manufacturing client. This role is responsible for collaborating with Engineer professionals in their factories across central and eastern US to drive the adoption of standard components. The incumbent will provide technical and application support to different stakeholders within the company, offer solutions that are cost effective and in accordance with industry and quality standards, and safety requirements. This position has the option to choose their base location from the following areas: Columbia, MO | Danville, VA, Crystal Springs, MS | Wytheville VA, Cary/Raleigh, NC, or Jackson, TN.

Duties

Support Supply Chain in the development of new suppliers, identify opportunities for cost reduction based on technical requirements and data analysis, and support in finding potential substitutions.

Collaborate with the Engineering teams to facilitate the integration of standard components within their factories and design tools.

Support the development of data base for standard components.

Lead the communication channels for support on application guidelines and parts creation.

Define and document materials and parts specifications.

Recommend enhancements to drawings and existing design specifications.

Collaborate with GEC team members for mapping and analysis of information.

Support the definition of process flows for components and organizational standards.

Ensure that group and local health, safety, and environmental guidelines and directives are implemented.

Required

BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials and 5+ years of experience.

Broad knowledge of components for Distribution and Power transformers, transformers in general, Industrial Electrical industry, Utility, or Substations.

Experience with AutoCAD, Creo, or other 3D modeling Software and Microsoft office, SharePoint, Windchill, and SAP highly preferred.

Familiar with ANSI/IEEE, UL, CSA for transformers and components.

Experience with standardization of parts is desired.
