Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized Contract Engineering and Technical Staffing firm specializing in Engineering and Manufacturing. We are currently recruiting for an Industrial Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Industrial Engineer responsibilities include analyzing operations, designing workflows and production processes which focus on reducing inefficiency and ensuring that final products meet the established quality standards. The Industrial Engineer will be designing systems that maximize productivity, reduce wastefulness and production issues, are cost-efficient, and ensure high product quality as well as:

  • Reviewing production processes, specifications, and related information.
  • Performing time and motion studies to establish production rates and work standards.
  • Designing production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Designing the layout of facilities and determining personnel requirements.
  • Developing and implementing process improvements and technological upgrades.
  • Developing work standards in cooperation with production and user personnel.
  • Managing process documentation.
  • Preparing cost analyses and estimated production costs.
  • Training staff for new processes and providing work instructions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, as well as experience with team collaboration software.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Education, training and experience in the implementation and maintenance of continuous improvement activities including principles of Lean and Six Sigma are preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Documentation and organization skills.
  • The personality and skill to work in a team-based environment is essential.
  • The ability to successfully coordinate multiple priority projects in a fast-paced environment to drive goals to completion is required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • B.S. degree in industrial engineering or related field from an accredited institution required.
  • 3+ years of work experience required.
