IT Compliance Manager

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required

Work Experiences:

  • At least five years of relevant work experience with at least three years of leadership experience. Corporate retail IT experience preferred.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain enterprise-wide awareness and think at various levels, ranging from high concept to low detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects / priorities at one time
  • Dedication to exceeding the expectations of internal customers
  • Strong communication skills, including effective listening, speaking, writing, and presenting
  • Proficient using MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio and MS Project
  • Solid knowledge of formalized systems development life cycle process/policy

Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership in compliance strategy and execution in supporting governance processes, deployment and improvement initiatives.
  • Leverages industry best practices on IT governance to influence IT strategies.
  • Provides central oversight to deliver consistency and quality in compliance work across the IT organization.
  • Champions best practices in a high-volume, dynamic environment.
  • Communicates governance and compliance objectives to ensure an appropriate compliance-aware culture.
  • Engages proactively with cross functional teams within to provide actionable insights for making process improvements; ensuring overall alignment to the IT strategy.
  • Designs, documents and communicates IT processes and controls and identifies opportunities for more efficient and effective processes and controls.
  • Proactively leads applicable IT teams through self-audit exercises and addresses deficiencies.
  • Regularly provides communication and insights to IT senior leadership.
  • Coaches, motivates and develops a team; provides project direction to team members.
  • Creates a sustainable, compliant IT environment to facilitate growth.
  • Manages meetings effectively by setting agendas, maintaining focus and identifying action items.
  • Ensures that all functions and activities are performed in accordance with accepted IT department standards and procedures.
  • Manages, resolves and escalates, as appropriate, issues to ensure high quality deliverables.
  • Required to learn company policies, procedures and safety rules.
