Johnson Service Group is seeking an IT Support Engineer for a 12 month assignment with one of our clients within the Healthcare space.   Must have PC and Mac experience.  This role is on site at the clients’ facilities.

Payrate up to $35 per hour depending on experience.

The IT Support Engineer provides varied day-to-day technical support to local and remote to our client’s employees, which may include executive level roles to provide troubleshooting, repairs and solutions to support business continuity.

The successful candidate is expected to:

•        Support, troubleshoot & repair all PC and Mac workstations, telecom, computer & smartphone applications.

•        Support moves, adds and changes for computers and telephone equipment.

•        Be able to support all network equipment from the data switch to the actual endpoint, computers, phones, printers and fax machines, creating documentation as appropriate.

•        Triage all levels of incidents as it relates to end user support – track all incidents\requests in ITSM platform.

•        Build new computer systems & maintain CMDB for asset tracking.

•        Create and maintain software images for user PC’s, test and evaluate new items as they become available

•        Encrypt and deploy laptops for field use

•        Process all PC and Mac hardware and software requests

•        Test and evaluate new technologies, be prepared to adopt and test early and the company evolves

•        Support and provide IT feedback on projects.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
The successful candidate will have the following:

•        Experience providing technical support to in-office and remote users.

•        Ability to support users in a clear, respectful manner both over the phone and in person

•        Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with non-technical users

•        Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

•        Significant knowledge in Macs (M1), Windows Operating systems, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, Exchange/Outlook and other MS products.

•        Experience with LAN/WAN, TCP/IP networks, and Cisco VPN.

•        Ability to resolve application problems, follow processes to mitigate viruses, and troubleshoot and
maintain software and hardware.

•        Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage a problem through to resolution.

•        Excellent time/task management and organizational skills.

•        High energy level with ability to multi-task and work effectively with minimal supervision.

•        Ability to work under pressure and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

•        Flexibility to work some off-hours and weekends
Basic Qualifications:

•        1-3 years’ experience providing desktop support in an enterprise IT environment diagnosing and resolving various PC and Mac hardware and software related problems

•        Associates Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent experience

•        Experience working within an ITSM platform to track incidents\requests.

•        Ability to prioritize and manage several projects and tasks efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:

•        4+ years' experience working in an enterprise IT environment diagnosing and resolving various computer hardware and software related problems.

•        Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent experience

•        Demonstrable understanding of MAC (M1) technology, Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and the Internet.
Work Conditions:

•        Standard office environment.

•        Occasional overtime, including weekend work may be needed.
