Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for a,
Junior Software Engineer, for a contract-to-hire position with a leading mobile robotics company in Clinton, TN.
The ideal candidate would have participated in For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) events in high school or been in a robotics club or similar activity. Our client is targeting $20.00 - $40.00/hour for this role (commensurate with experience).
U.S Citizenship is required.
Education / Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a STEM curriculum
- 1 - 3 years of relative experience
- C/C++
- Python
- Qt GUI toolkit
- Qt Modeling Language (QML)
- Robot Operating System (ROS)
- Linux
- Code repository / version control utilizing Git
- Embedded code concepts including data buses, real time systems, interrupts
- Code debugging and system troubleshooting
- Code review, testing, release, and documentation processes
- Blender 3D Graphics toolkit
- Previous experience with RC vehicles, FIRST robotics, or robotic simulators preferred
NOTE: This is not related to manufacturing robotics. This software application will be focused on remote controlled, mobile robotic systems.
