Johnson Service Group (JSG), a nationally recognized recruitment firm is assisting our global manufacturing client with a Lead Research & Development Engineer in the New Belin, OH area. The role will require a strong background in Power Electronics and Drives! The incumbent will perform a variety of complex and specific engineering disciplines to cost effectively achieve objectives in motion business, while requiring the use of innovative techniques to proactively implement operational changes to increase customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development, review, and approval of specifications for key power components
- Provide the development of R&D project deliverables, developing concepts, simulation results, diagrams, bill of materials/purchasing specification, testing plans, procedures, and technical instructions for the purpose of product analytics
- Responsible for communicating on behalf of continuous improvement methods, processes, quality, and productivity, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and cost reductions
- Provide answers on interpretations of regulatory standards, such as UL, IEC, NEC, NEMA, etc, while participating in product standardization
- Serve as a resource of the technical team to address and resolve inquiries and problems related to drives and/or other power electronic systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering with 8 years of Power Electronics related experience required
- Expertise in developing circuit and system-level simulation models
- Highly preferred a strong understanding of various circuit topologies for AC/ DC and DC/ DC converters and DC/ AC inverters
- Experience designing products to meet global regulatory standards for safety and EMC
