JSG is assisting our global manufacturing client with a direct hire Maintenance Manager in the Jefferson City, MO area. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, assigning work, and ensuring maintenance activities are compliant with Company policies and procedures, as well as applicable codes and regulations.


  • Promote, develop and implement measures to achieve cost-effective improvements in operations, increase customer satisfaction, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
  • Monitor product quality and customer relations and initiate responsive measures, as applicable
  • Anticipate and introduce timely, effective actions to resolve problems
  • Manage activities and initiate measures to ensure efficient operations and achieve long-term cost savings. Maintain awareness of new developments and technologies and direct subsequent investigations regarding their utilization
  • Participate in meetings and conferences and act as spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters
  • Negotiate such matters as costs, design features and schedules with suppliers and customers. Advise senior managers regarding such matters as most effective means of complying with new contract stipulations and improving customer relations
  • Provide guidance and arrange for training of staff. Provide administrative support to senior managers and advise less experienced supervisors regarding the more complex aspects of their assignments. Manage and document employee performance and initiate responsive actions
  • This is a 1st shift position, but candidates may be required to work additional hours as needed, including later shifts and weekends. This role will be leading a team of 7 direct reports; 1 salary, 6 hourly union workers

Your background

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years in manufacturing, 5+ as a leader
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the US
  • Knowledge in MS Office, including Power Point. Exposure to ERP and Workforce Management software applications i.e. SAP, and experience with Kronos preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • TPM implementation experience highly preferred
  • Experience maintaining Mechanical, Hydraulic, electrical and electronic manufacturing equipment and specifically with specialized production equipment such as vacuum ovens, winding machines, core cutting, standard motor, oven, conveyors, sensors and controls, HVAC, security, fire protection, electrical, cranes, forklifts, and experience with PLC / Software preferred
