Johnson Service Group (JSG), a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm is assisting one of our key manufacturing clients with a direct hire, Maintenance Technician near Columbia, MO. The candidate will join a dynamic team, have growth opportunities, and be well poised to contribute to organizational restructuring.
PM shift: 7pm - 7:30am on a 2-2-3 schedule and potential relocation support.
Skills Needed
- Electrical: troubleshoot and read electrical prints
- Hydraulics: troubleshoot and debug hydraulic circuits, read machine schematics, and repair
- Pneumatics: troubleshoot and debug pneumatic circuits, read machine schematics, and repair
- Injection-molding machine general maintenance: troubleshooting, debug, and repair as needed
- Execute lock out/tag out procedures
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions to prevent the occurrence of any downtime that can be avoided with proper preventative, predictive or continuous improvement ideas
- Work with equipment suppliers to determine root cause of equipment failures and implement a permanent solution
- Perform daily checks of all injection molding equipment as outlined on the preventive maintenance schedule
- Owns and maintains required basic set of tools needed to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position
Must haves:
- Knowledge of basic math skills
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license, fork lift experience or ability/willingness to learn
- Welding, brazing, soldering, or silver brazing
- Refrigeration repair; machine shop training, fabrication in wood, metal, plastic, etc., electronic repair, plumbing, roofing, drywall, painting, etc., and/or mechanical engine repair, transmission repair, or robotics (is a plus)
