Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively searching for a Multi-Craft Maintenance Lead with 5+ years of experience for a direct hire position in the greater Huntsville, AL area. The ideal candidate will lead a team of multi-craft maintenance technicians who are troubleshooting, repairing, and installing PLC’s, mainly Allen Bradley and Siemens. This candidate must have experience with reading electrical and mechanical prints. Be able to handle general repair work and maintenance on all motors, motor drives, and associated hardware. Facilitate turnover between shifts and understand the processes of each machine.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute reliability strategies to incorporate: P.M. program, CMMS, and KPI familiarity.
- Facilitate detailed turnover between shifts.
- Give concise direction to team.
- Understand process.
- Observes machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunction.
- Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
- Maintains cleanliness of work area and observes all company and safety rules.
- Perform equipment maintenance as required.
- Update GEMBA boards as required.
- Participate in Lean events as well as housekeeping and safety audits as needed.
- Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements for the Maintenance Technician Lead
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ Years maintenance experience or equivalent
- Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety related instructions.
- Commendable attendance record.
- Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Material handling experience is a plus
- Must be able to work night shift 7pm – 7am with a rotating 7 day a week schedule
