Johnson Service Group is seeking a qualified Manufacturing Engineer for the Gardena, CA area. This is an opportunity to work for a industry leader.

Manufacturing Engineer is to ensure that the engineering, manufacturing and continuous improvement processes are performed correctly to their respective requirements. This may involve using/teaching six sigma/lean manufacturing methodologies to create/improve a system.

Job Duties and Responsibilities**:
  1. Participate in RCCA activities (8D, 5 Why, etc.); provide corrective action and containment for customers
  2. Create and train staff/managers on lean manufacturing principals.
  3. Improve production flow by implementing lean methodology including: Kanban, 5S, Kaizen, Andon, Supermarket, etc. 
  4. Create work instructions, as required.
  5. Lead continuous improvement activities throughout the company
  6. Interface with customers, either verbally or with written documentation and reports
  7. Work with engineering and technical staff to ensure specification compliance
  8. Interface cross functionally including customers, production and suppliers driving improvement projects
  9. Occasional travel to alternate other facilities (including outside the United States), customers and suppliers may be required, based on company needs.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
    Skills/ Qualifications Requirements:
  11. Working knowledge of and ability to interpret customer and industry standards, specifications, and regulations
  12. Strong problem-solving skills with focused attention to detail and accuracy
  13. Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook
  14. CAD experience
  15. Background in Lean and/or Six Sigma principles
  16. Hands-on working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T 
  17. Good communications skills (written and oral).
  18. Must be able to multi task and work under pressure.
  19. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  20. A team player.
  21. Valid driver's license.
  22. Valid U.S. Passport.
  23. Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
  24. Bilingual Preferred (English-Spanish)
