The Duracell Cleveland, TN, manufacturing facility produces C and D Duracell batteries for the global market, as well as the supplier for NA Components Making for AA and AAA batteries. We produce batteries each year that are shipped across the world. Duracell is a subsidiary of Berkshire-Hathaway. Berkshire-Hathaway has a vested interest in the Cleveland, TN, manufacturing facility and has invested substantially in the site with more investments to come.

As a Manufacturing Technician, you will contribute to the manufacturing process by maintaining and operating machines. Using your technical knowledge, you will be responsible for making repairs as well as monitoring the safety and quality of the equipment.  

Operate various types of equipment, including but not limited to, high speed assembly, metal stamping, injection molding, and/or packaging equipment.  As a Manufacturing Technician, some of your essential duties and responsibilities may include:          
  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using various tools.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment.
  • Trouble-shoot issues with the equipment and perform maintenance and repairs, as necessary.
  • Responsible for safety, quality, and production.              

Possess the ability to handle product and components up to 90% of the shift for performing quality inspections.

  • Have ability to read and write as well as have a basic knowledge of mathematics.
  • Possess the physical stamina to walk, stand, stoop, or bend up to 100% of shift.
