Job Description

Power Department’s Engineering group is seeking an Engineering and Construction Contract System Administration with 3 years minimum experience as an Office Engineer with direct verifiable experience in engineering and construction contract administration to perform, but not be limited to, the following tasks:

Oversee and manage Client’s responding and notification responsibilities of the PA 1 Call Response System, including coordination with in-house forces and 3rd party stakeholders. These specific responsibilities include:

  • Processing Emergency, Routine and Design tickets daily to ensure timely and lawful responses
  • Ensuring the safety of workers and the general public in the execution of tasks
  • Protection of Client’s interests relative to damage avoidance of Client underground facilities
  • Protection of Client’s interests relative to encroachment onto Client property
  • Ensuring timely and effective communication and coordination among internal and external customers relative to both Client and non- Client projects.
  • Performing an on-going maintenance and verification of Client as-built records in support of PA 1 Call responding responsibilities
  • Understanding the State laws and PA 1 Call requirements surrounding excavation as they relate to public safety
  • Education of internal Client stakeholders on the roles and responsibilities of the PA 1 Call system
