Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for an Operations Engineer with heavy industrial experience. This is a direct hire opportunity with an outstanding Chemical company in California.

  • Ensure proper implementation of plant policies, programs, and standards consistent with company policies and manage the application of such policies to the plant manufacturing operations
  • Coordinate the execution of manufacturing schedules based on order requirements and plant capacity
  • Safety focus with efficient utilization of equipment
  • Coordinate and participate in long-range plant expansion, equipment planning, installation, R&D, and new equipment purchases
  • Prepare annual budgets for operations & maintenance
  • Control quality, waste generation, production costs, warehousing, shipping and receiving of raw materials & finished goods
  • Work with plant managers to monitor and improve plant operations
  • Participate in Process Hazard Analysis – Safety and Environmental committees – part of the plant emergency response team.
  • Step in for Plant Manager
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Working knowledge of local, state & federal regulations which apply to the facility
  • 5+ years of plant engineer experience with direct production responsibility
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office – especially Excel
  • Ability to instill and maintain standards of excellence in site supervisory team
  • Leadership skills
  • Prior experience in Process Safety Management
  • Analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
