Johnson Service Group is seeking a Patient Service Representative for a medical office on James Island. The incumbent will have knowledge of computer applications and effective communication skills when interacting with patients and team members.


Responsibilities:

  • Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting them, in person or via telephone.
  • Assist in decreasing wait times by guiding patients to rooms and successfully documenting as needed.
  • Engages patients by offering concierge services while maintaining waiting areas.
  • Process payments and co-payments.
  • Collaborates with others to coordinate care, resolve concerns, and address the needs of patients, family members, physicians, and employees.
  • Responsible for counting petty cash box daily along with preparing and completing end of day closing of money collected.
  • Attends staff meetings as required.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in a medical setting, knowledge of EMR, and basic computer applications preferred, but required.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Strong coordination, time management, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work weekdays, evenings, and rotating weekends.


Schedule:

  • Mon-Fri: 6:30am - 3pm | 8am - 4:30pm | 10am - 7pm
  • Saturday: 8am - 5pm | Sunday: 1pm - 5pm
  • The front desk works 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week and schedules rotate between opening, mid and closing.
  • The incumbent will work cohesively with the team to create work schedules and submit to management a month in advance.
  • Rotating weekends until fully staffed and then only one weekend per month
  • After 90 days, shift differential offered for weekend hours
