JSG is searching for a qualified Plant Engineer to join our client's team. The Plant Engineer will assist the Plant Manager to ensure safety compliance, promote plant productivity, and recommend solutions for cost effectiveness.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify areas and recommend solutions to cut costs in overtime hours, labor, overhead, and materials
- Perform and report time studies to upper management
- Audit and assess situations in order to recommend changes and achieve Company goals
- Conduct daily activities in a manner that promotes plant productivity and reliability
- Review production practices to determine causes of nonconformity with product specification and recommend solutions
- Assist Plant Manager with development and implementation of production improvements
- Document and conduct proper investigations on safety and disciplinary actions
- Provide material take-offs for future projects
- Attend and participate in weekly safety and quality meetings
- Someone that has Lean Manufacturing background is a huge plus!!!!
