  1. Service Group, Inc has an immediate need for a Process Engineer south of the Atlanta Airport in Atlanta, GA. In this role you will evaluate existing processes and equipment to implement systems to improve productivity and reliability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PROCESS:

  • Provide support and show a high level of visibility as it relates to safety, quality, reliability and repeatability programs.
  • Assess processes, measure and interpret outputs and implement improvements for manufacturing as it relates to safety, quality, productivity and throughput.
  • Improve shop floor controls (SOCs).
  • Ensure ubiquitous uses of SOCs though all production lines.
  • Identify at risk products and processes to devise plans to reduce risk and overall impact on total output.
  • Implement continuous improvement efforts to improve upon process capabilities.
  • Be the Chairperson for Corrective Action Process.
  • Champion for Engineering Change Notice and Management of Change programs.
  • Champion for all trials conducted in plant.
  • Responsible for all BOM’s and traveler accuracy.
  • Responsible for control charts with Cpk, UCL and LCL.
  • Drive process control and repeatability throughout plant.
  • Responsible for tracking all capital project and monitoring progress.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS RELIABILITY:

  • Develop and implement plant engineering preventive maintenance program.
  • Manage metrics and reporting related to preventive maintenance (ie. MEFF) and drive improvements.
  • Manage metrics and reporting related to utility usage and drive improvements.
  • Work with key vendors to improve operations and reduce equipment/service costs.
  • Evaluate and identify projects related to energy efficiency, reliability, and other cost reduction opportunities.
  • Support plant personnel, contractors and engineering in managing capital projects.
  • Identify and troubleshoot infrastructure system issues/inefficiencies and provide problem/improvement resolution.
  • Evaluate plant capacity including electrical, water, and compressed air.
  • Cast vision to implement corporate best practices in plant.
  • Responsible for “Reliability” of systems and equipment to continuously reduce downtime and improve site productivity.
  • Actively search for ideas and ways to reduce expenses and improve quality without compromising superior customer service.
  • Support equipment moves, plant consolidations, and expansion projects to ensure facility and infrastructure is in place to support operations
  • Keep updated records of all production data necessary for the analysis and control of the production. Utilize and manipulate data to optimize efficiencies and quality throughout the facility. Interpret and make deductions based on data.
  • Support the 24-hour operations.
  • Maintain a positive work environment.
  • Support trials of Stage gate, by preparing the line, equipment, allocating people.
  • Ensure compliance to SQF and ISO standards as well as Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Support and commit to Preventive Maintenance Program, assuming responsibilities for parts of the program when needed.
  • Chair daily production review group.
  • Responsible for control charts and checklists for production.

EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, BSME, BSCE, BSEE, BSIE
  • 2-4 years of experience preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD preferred or ability to learn.
