Johnson Service Group is a Tier 1 vendor for TVA and we have an open contract requisition for an experienced, Project Control Specialist, based out of the downtown Chattanooga office.

  • W2 Hourly Pay Rate: (time and a half for overtime)
  • Duration: 12 - 24 months

This position will Work in the Nuclear Technology Innovation group supporting development of a small modular reactor.

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining an Integrated Master Project Schedule.
  • Ability to effectively lead weekly schedule status review meetings, provide updates on schedule performance and document processes being used.
  • Facilitate external and internal schedule reviews and effectively communicate to all team members.
  • Work with Project Management Team using earned value measurement techniques to ensure that schedule and cost are aligned, including development of recovery plans.
  • Develop and produce schedule weekly/monthly project control reports for client and internal management to include resource loading analysis, critical path items, progress and risk.
  • Work closely with team leads and managers for tracking project deliverables.
  • Assist with creation, preparation and maintenance of comprehensive project dashboard reports and KPI tracking.
  • Utilize “lessons learned” from other projects to identify needed activities and logic changes.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related field, or the equivalent in experience.
  • Full competence as a Senior Project Control Specialist/Scheduler as demonstrated by experience.
  • A working knowledge of plant systems and equipment, outage/non-outage maintenance and modifications.
  • Experience in project control practices, methods, proficiency in using scheduling, maintenance management, and PC software.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted nuclear plant access and S-3 and S-4 medical qualifications when applicable.
  • Must be able and willing to travel to plant locations as required when performing assigned tasks and, as necessary, to be temporarily assigned to a field location.
