Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively searching for a Project Scheduler/Planner for a special government-backed project out of our clients’ facility in the Huntsville, Alabama area. This is a temp to perm position with a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure with a Fortune 500 industry leader. The ideal candidate will be tasked with performing critical path analysis and integrating several schedules into one. This candidate will have a strong understanding of graphical tools such as Milestones Pro and Onepage and be a strong presenter of data and statistical findings to a variety of audiences.
The candidate will support NASA under the Marshall Integrated Program Support Services (MIPSS) Contract, and will support various projects at the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC).

Responsibilities of the Project Scheduler

  • Developing, maintaining, and coordinating technical schedules for large to medium scale projects from proposal level to detailed level schedules
  • Conducting schedule analysis and assessments to ensure schedules are structured properly with complete network logic, are capable of reporting critical path(s), and follow industry scheduling best practices
  • Tracking schedule progress and developing custom reports/metrics
  • Providing guidance and recommendations on schedule work-arounds and recovery plans for customers to make effective decisions
  • Attending key project meetings, reviews, and presenting schedule status/metrics

REQUIREMENTS of the Project Scheduler

  • B.S. degree from an accredited institution and 10-15 years of experience. A Master’s Degree can be substituted for work experience.
  • Prior Aerospace, Government  or Construction project experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and other Microsoft Office products; experience with Milestones Professional desirable.
  • Hands-on experience developing detailed schedules, Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and performing critical path analysis.
  • Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, have strong interpersonal skills, and work under minimal supervision.
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of an organization.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
