THIS POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE Company ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH, & SAFETY (EH&S), TRAINING COORDINATION, AND DECOMMISSIONING SAFETY MANAGEMENT AT THE CUF D4 PROJECT.
Looking for Prior TVA experience 

IT ENCOMPASSES ALL ASPECTS OF TRAINING, ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH, AND SAFETY IN ADDITION TO CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS INCLUDING: PLAN REVIEW, MANAGEMENT AND CONTRACTOR OVERSIGHT FOR SAFETY. THIS POSITION DRIVES THE PROJECT TO ENSURE QUALITY, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENTAL. MANAGES THE EH&S AND TRAINING FOR ALL Company AND CONTRACTED EMPLOYEES WORKING AT D4 CUF PROJECTS.

THE INDIVIDUAL IS REQUIRED TO BE AT THE PROJECT SITE DURING DECOMMISSIONING AS NECESSARY AND TO PROVIDE DIRECTION. RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING AN INCIDENT FREE MENTALITY FOR SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL EVENTS. RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE FOR MEETING THE PRE-ESTABLISHED PROJECT SAFETY GOALS. RESPONSIBLE FOR DEVELOPING A SAFETY CULTURE OF ZERO INJURIES FOR THE D4 PROJECT. INTERFACES AND COORDINATES WITH TVA’S PLANT OPERATIONS, TRAINING, FACILITIES MANAGEMENT, ENVIRONMENTAL AND OTHER Company GROUPS, AS NEEDED.

REVIEWS PROJECT PLANS FOR SAFETY WITH EACH CONTRIBUTING GROUP I.E. CONTRACTOR, ENGINEERING, PROJECT TEAM AND PLANT OPERATIONS.

Education —

B.S. in a Safety-related field or Associate degree with 10+ years experience in managing large projects with an emphasis in Health and Safety in a construction, demolition or modification business. Must have previous demolition management or construction management experience.

Experience —A broad knowledge of and experience in all safety and health aspects of power plant demolition or modification. An in-depth understanding of power plant operations, engineering and design principles. Prefer experience in demolition of chimneys or stacks.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities —Strong facilitative leadership skills, the ability to function effectively in a team environment, a strong focus on results, self motivated with high personal and ethical standards. Strong organizational, interpersonal and written communication skills, excellent organizational development, project management, negotiating and owner’s representative skills.

Must have a working understanding of construction and demolition. Candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on position / access requirements and essential job functions.
