Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for a, Senior Cost Engineer for Oak Ridge Tennessee

U.S. Citizenship is required

Pay Rate - $75.00 to $85.00

Project Description:
The Uranium Processing Facility (UPF) works on a 9-80 schedule with every other Friday off. S tart times are flexible, but the standard workweek is Monday - Thursday from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm. The schedule on working Fridays is: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures
  • Directly interfaces with management as necessary for cost control monitoring, analysis, and reporting
  • Performs cost data analysis and development
  • Performs performance monitoring and coordinates cost/schedule and quantity trends when required
  • Interact Daily with UPF Management and Federal Project team
  • Assist Central Change Control in coordinating the interface of various subproject change control
  • Performs Earned Value and Staffing Analysis at the Work Package and P6 activity level
  • Coordinates with team members to develop, maintain and support Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and WBS-D
  • Assists with EVMS compliance to ANSI 748
  • Develops and writes the cost and schedule commentary that appears in the monthly progress and performance reports
  • Performs performance monitoring and coordinates cost/schedule/quantity trends as required.

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Finance or similar field
  • 9+ years of experience in Project/Cost Controls technical skills
    • In lieu of a degree, 15+ years of professional experience as listed above
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes
  • Experience with DOE or major EPC project principles and procedures
  • Familiar with change management such as baseline change proposals and trending
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Must be able to obtain a site security badge for access to the work site

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cross-project coordination
  • Knowledge of Quantity Unit Rate Report (QURR), Bechtel Procurement System (BPS), Cost & Commitment (COCO), and Subcontract Database (eSub)
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems compliant to ANSI 748
  • Previous experience working on Bechtel DOD or DOE projects
