Johnson Service Group is looking for a SMT Process Engineer in the Simsbury, CT area.
Responsibilities
- Setup, operation and maintenance of PCBA SMT equipment utilized to support electronic programs.
- Develop standard work and manufacturing process documentation defining the operation of the PCBA SMT equipment.
- Training of operators to standard work and manufacturing process documentation.
- Review and approval of PCBA drawing packages and to ensure manufacturability of new product designs.
- Populates product structures and routers in IFS Applications, an ERP system.
- Prepares process documentation including standard work packages, and manufacturing instructions and process specifications in a visual format.
Qualifications
- AS/BS in Electrical Engineering with 5-10 years of experience
- SMT Equipment Setup, Operation, and Maintenance
- PCBA Test & Inspection equipment experience (Flying Probe, AOI, X-Ray,, etc.)
- PCB Assembly, Electro-mechanical Assembly, IPC & J-STD Specification Knowledge
- Process Development, Writing Procedures, Working with PCB Contract Manufacturers
- Experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing systems or Continuous Improvement and strong problem solving skills
