Johnson Service Group is actively seeking a Sr Electrical Engineer for our client in West Virginia.
Senior Level Electrical Engineer
- Schedule: 5/8s | hybrid schedule 3 days in office
- Must come from Chemical or Refinery background
- 10% field experience
- Working multiple projects with several different client companies
- Must have Electrical Engineering degree- Bachelors or Masters
- Must be hands on and willing to do technical work: calculations, layouts, research codes
- 5+ years of Electrical Engineering exp.
Purpose
You will provide electrical, instrument, and controls engineering services to company and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the electrical, instrument, and controls engineering team.
Perform electrical, instrument, and controls engineering services such as:
- participate in relevant meetings
- prepare progress reports
- follow required checking procedures
- ensure the project scope is clear
- ensure any changes comply with project change management processes
- provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. (For example, write specifications and conduct technical bid evaluations.)
If required, act as the electrical, instrument, and controls engineering lead on specific projects.
If responsible for a team:
- outline project requirements including actively promoting workshare, where appropriate, assign tasks and supervise progress;
- ensure the required services meet Worley’s, its customers’, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget.
Proactively resolve any discrepancies between their customer's requirements.
Keep current with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical, instrument, and controls engineering.
If required, assist and support junior personnel within the electrical, instrument, and controls engineering team.
Communicate effectively with the electrical, instrument, and controls engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.
Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
Technical and Industry Experience:
Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate, and timely work to Worley and its customers.
A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of electrical, instrument, and controls engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
Competent use of electrical, instrument, and controls engineering specific software.
Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
Substantial technical and practical experience in electrical, instrument, and controls engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
