Johnson Service Group is seeking several direct hire Sr. Field Engineers (REMOTE) with travel. The incumbent develops practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals and is responsible for work that is less defined in scope, utilize your understanding and experience to execute business objectives, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-site representative to the end customer/user and other company field personnel.
  • Preserve Company Safety Culture on every aspect and as first priority, in the field and always keeping an eye on co-workers, with occasionally having additional team leader administrative responsibilities to coordinate internal field service activities.
  • Handles responsibilities as a Project Manager for all assigned product lines and assist the customer with technical understanding of the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of multiple types of company products.
  • Review effectiveness of maintenance actions to identify training needs.
  • Assist customer with improving reliability and reducing cost of ownership.
  • Assist the factory with data collection and timely reporting to facilitate fleet performance analysis, including marketing intelligence and sales opportunities for services, and support.
  • Assist customer with spare parts ordering, issues resolution and provisioning.
  • Perform collateral duties as assigned to meet business needs as they relate to EHS, Quality, Integrity, etc.
  • Perform duties in Power Delivery, Medium & Low Voltage Electrification, Drive systems, Control Systems, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree on Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a support or field engineering position).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field engineering role including a minimum of 3 years of experience performing power systems analysis and a minimum of 1 year of experience in customer support and the development of successful customer relationships.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 50% - 70% 
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work in the United States.

    • Relay Testing & installation
    • Instruments; PLC’s & DCS
    • Wiring Diagrams
    • Blueprints & Schematics
    • Test Equipment & Instruments
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proven analytical and quality improvement ability.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in repair troubleshooting, shop operations, and testing of assigned programs / hardware.
  • Ability to make formal presentations to all audiences.
  • Able to work with all levels of maintenance, engineering, and management.
  • Project management or supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence customers and peers
