The Sr Financial Analyst reports to the Finance Director for the Creedmoor manufacturing location and is responsible for all aspects of financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering.  The position will span both commercial (FP&A) and operations finance.

In addition to supporting and leading value add analysis across the site - the role will be tasked with creating favorable financial outcomes through business partnering and contributing directly to strategic projects.  This is role will be highly visible with opportunity for growth.

  • Partner with Business Unit Directors, Senior Management, Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to understand and drive financial and operating performance of the business
  • Maintain & improve on existing financial models
  • Create, maintain, improve standard reporting capabilities across Direct Margin, Indirect, SGA, Inventory, and Capital Reporting
  • Support and lead finance improvement initiatives within Direct Margin, Indirect, SG&A, Inventory, and Capital reporting – driving favorable financial outcomes
  • Identify opportunities within team and business for process improvement
  • Assist and lead certain aspects of monthly financial Close, including but not limited to analysis & narrative, journal entries, account reconciliations, standard reprorting
  • Perform ad hoc analysis relating to financial and operating metrics
  • Additional projects prioritized by either business or department needs

Requirements (candidates must have)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business
  • Strong Excel skills with ability to financial model and build tools & dashboards
  • 2-5 years of analyst experience in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or related field
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to distill and explain complex data simply and concisely
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with various internal customers

Preferred (desired candidates should have)

  • Prior experience in manufacturing or aerospace
  • Thorough understanding of general accounting principles and financial statements
  • Knowledge of ERP and Reporting systems and how they interact
  • Strong written communication skills using business/financial writing techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing company
  • Self-starter, innate curiosity, and a problem-solving mentality
  • Able to work with some degree of ambiguity
