  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or relevant field of study preferred

Work Experiences:

  • 8+ years IT experience in the retail industry preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in various technology platforms and frameworks, both front-end and back-end that include JAVA,/J2EE, Webservices (REST/SOAP), Design Patterns, Microservices Architecture
  • 5+ years of experience developing RESTful and SOAP based web services
  • 5+ years of experience in working with design and development of microservices using Spring Boot
  • Experience with a 500+ million revenue e-commerce retailer preferred
  • Proven understanding of design patterns, reference architectures, industry standards, broad technical knowledge, and architectural principles is necessary
  • Design and develop solutions using Agile SDLC process
  • Ability to estimate financial impact of technical architecture alternatives and apply multiple technical solutions to business problems is vital
  • Demonstrated ability to provide and recommend innovative ideas with the skill to align projects with enterprise strategy is needed
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor, and work well independently is essential


  • Expert knowledge of REST/Spring Boot Java Development, Pub/Sub Design Patterns, EAI, API integration.
  • Expert knowledge of Google Cloud or AWS Cloud Technologies (As a compute and not a SAAS)
  • Expert Knowledge of Microservices Development using Spring boot.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Scripting languages, RDBMS, Javascript, React framework.
  • Understanding of project management and the software development lifecycle is needed
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels, both internal and external
  • Analytical, with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use key tools to dive deep and provide analysis consistently on performance metrics
  • Troubleshooting and organizational skills with a can-do attitude and the ability to adjust to changing requirements is necessary
  • Strong Microsoft Office program experience, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint


  • Lead technology discussion on PODs/teams that involves customer facing commerce transactions
  • Leading the solution and estimation review related to Digital PODs/Teams
  • Defines and develops the service-oriented blueprint for the enterprise; builds architectures that leverage or enhance the service inventory
  • Designs alternative solution architectures; analyzes and evaluates the financial, organizational, process and technology tradeoffs
  • Develops Digital/eCommerce applications development in alignment with business strategies and priorities
  • Analyzes current technical environment; identifies gaps; recommends and implements solutions for improvement / tech debts.
  • Defines and governs the integration and interoperability standards for the Digital Team
  • Design and develop solutions using Agile SDLC process
  • Applies patterns, references architectures, industry standards to build solution architectures
  • Develops solutions that leverage the capabilities of cloud architecture and succeed within a hybrid cloud environment
  • Develops and diagrams detailed roadmaps which capture transitional architectures; ensures architecture can move from a current state to a target state
  • Documents technical architecture and enterprise environment; maintains a current and accurate enterprise- wide view of key services, capabilities, and processes
  • Stays current on the latest industry and emerging technologies, reference architectures, patterns, trends and strategies
  • Educates and assists employees, vendors or other customers by answering questions related to Architecture processes, procedures and services
  • Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing appropriate customer service
  • Responsibilities may change; team members may be required to perform other tasks as assigned
