Johnson Service Group is looking for a Sr. Product Manager for one of our Clients to work in their intelligent power and sensing technologies.  This position will report into the Marketing organization and will lead all aspects of product management and marketing activities for the product that you own.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Wireless Connectivity Solutions product life cycle from initiation to product launch, volume ramp-up, change notifications and end of life.
  • Responsible for Marketing Requirement Documents (MRDs), product business plans, product strategy, pricing strategy, competitive positioning, and long-term forecasts.
  • Good architectural / technical understanding about Wi-Fi and network hardware and software, with demonstrated ability to translate customer requirements, long-term market requirements into product definitions and roadmaps
  • Closely work with key customers, product definers, system architects, and engineering teams throughout the product development cycle
  • Works with Engineering Product Manager (EPM) on deliverables
  • Works with Sales to prioritize which customers to engage and the engagement strategy and presents positioning slides/material to win customer designs
  • Works with key account CPMs and AEs to manage and message on key issues/blockers/problems due to Field Trials, Deployment, etc. at key customers
  • Reviews list of customers’ requests, prioritizes ones with key revenue and strategic value to be resolved within AE team or Core Engineering (Chip/HW/SW teams)
  • Lead product management, marketing and business development activities including MRD/PRD, market sizing (TAM, SAM, SOM), key customer wins, competitive analysis, product positioning, and pricing
  • Gain in-depth understanding of key customer applications and competitor solutions to define and differentiate onsemi Wireless Connectivity Solutions
  • Develop comprehensive customer facing collaterals including customer presentations, competitive positioning, performance reports, and white papers
  • Develop and execute marketing strategy for identifying and winning revenue opportunities across target market segments and key customers, working closely with sales team
  • Drive outbound marketing activities including product promotions, partnerships, industry events, trade shows, and joint marketing with partners

Qualifications:

  • BSEE or MSEE and 5+ years semiconductor industry experience as a product marketing manager. MBA Preferred
  • Strong knowledge in WLAN technologies such as 802.11n, 802.11ac, 802.11ax with respect to baseband and RF technologies, familiar with networking and communication such as Ethernet/IP, TCP/UDP, QoS, security etc
  • Experience in Wi-Fi products such as gateways, mesh systems, routers, and repeaters
  • Track record of driving deliverables with Engineering teams
  • Track record of interfacing with customers in Pre-sales activities
  • Experience creating market requirements documents, market sizing forecast models, and driving product related collateral
  • Experience in Service Provider, Retail, Enterprise, IoT and Automotive segments is a plus
