Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently seeking a talented Staff Applications Engineer with CMOS image sensor expertise, for our global semiconductor client.
Responsibilities:
- Validate, integrate and tune novel sensor features with the host processor (real time ISP and/or SOC).
- Work closely with imaging hardware and firmware developers, customers and Field Applications Engineers (FAEs) to optimize in-system image sensor performance.
- Provide improvements to existing and new products.
- Interface with marketing and design regarding product improvement.
- Prepare proof-of-concept design (ISP, SOC or FPGA) for new features and/or improvements.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related CMOS image sensor integration experience.
- Design and/or debugging experience of embedded hardware and/or software (i.e. camera or related imaging systems).
- Knowledge of image processing and camera control algorithms.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
Compensation: Up to $190,000 annual salary (DOE), in addition to a sign-on bonus, annual bonus, stock, and outstanding benefits.
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (preferred)
