Johnson Service Group (JSG) is teamed with a global leader in the aerospace market. Our client is seeking a talented Staff Mechanical Engineer for aerospace actuation systems.
Scope of Experience and Responsibilities:
- 6-8+ years of mechanical systems design and development experience, ideally with aerospace hydraulic actuators and/or similar systems.
- Responsible for New Product Introduction (NPI) for new actuation platforms.
- Aerospace applications include commercial, military and space launch flight control systems.
- Experience with leading the design/development of actuators and control components, for hydraulic or fueldraulic systems.
- Fly-by-wire actuation experience is a plus.
- Will contribute at a senior level, applying knowledge of design processes, aerospace materials and coatings, manufacturing methods, etc.
- Strong complex problem solving/troubleshooting skills for components and subsystems.
- Solid understanding of component functions and testing requirements, manufacturing processes, drawings, etc.
- Project technical leadership and/or team leadership experience, including process improvements.
- FEA and DFSS tool/methodology experience is a plus.
- Develop a multi-site design approach that drives future actuator system platforms and designs.
- Ability to lead a small team through project phases including requirements definition, conceptual/detail design, and related manufacturing/verification activities.
- Strong project leadership skills.
- Excellent teamwork, written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
Education:
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline required.
- MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering is a plus.
Duration: Direct Hire
Compensation: $105,000 - $135,000 annually
Location: Greater Denver, CO area
Relocation: Relocation package is available
