Johnson Service Group is looking for a Student Intern, Undergrad or Grad, to work with the Education Outreach group for one of our Clients in the Bay Area. This group engages students, teachers, and members of the public in learning about water in Santa Clara County.
Responsibilities:
- This Intern position is a key support staff for the Water Education Program area.
- Present educational programs via distance learning or in person to all grade levels K-12
- Assist with preparation, distribution and upkeep of Education Outreach materials
- Support programs and presentations for educators, libraries, youth groups and summer camps
- Provide outreach to schools and development of new programming and teaching materials
Qualifications:
- Teaching or coaching experience working with youth
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Interest in community engagement and public service
- Social Media Skills (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Vyond, Canva, etc.)
- Bilingual skills a plus
- Must be a local student (Bay Area residents)
- Must be enrolled in at least 6-Grad, 9-Undergrad, units per semester/quarter in an educational institution
- Able to work a minimum of 3 days a week with core hours of 8:00 – 12:00 (average 15-20 hours/week)
- DMV/T.B. test/Fingerprinting clearance
- A valid California driver's license
