Johnson Service Group, a national recruiting firm is targeting a Transformer Service Technician for our global manufacturing client in the Virginia/Southeast territory. The incumbent will be responsible for providing technical direction to end users, while leading field personnel to inspect, maintain and repair designed products lines. Additionally, serve to develop scope of work, estimates, scheduling, procurement, and handle project management.
Ability and willingness to travel 70% of the time, typically within the VA, NC, SC, GA, FL region.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Project Manager for all assigned product lines, assisting customers with technical operations, maintenance and troubleshooting of all products, addressing productivity improvements and cost savings.
- Lead the commissioning, installation, maintenance and repair of all power delivery equipment, addressing outages, and maintaining documentations for assigned tasks and assignments.
- Proactively address any performance issues which would inadvertently affect service levels, quality standards under the scope of work or compromise EHS and company standards.
- Review ongoing maintenance actions to identify training needs, improve reliability and reduce cost of ownership.
- Assist in data collection, handling its timely reporting to facilitate fleet performance analysis, marketing analysis and sales opportunities for customers and internal development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and (5) five years of experience within the power systems industry.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Codes, Safety Codes/Regulations, and Industrial Controls.
- Electrical Licensed preferred, but not required. Willingness to obtain, considered a plus.
- Proficiency in repair, troubleshooting, operations and testing within hardware and software.
- Experience with various electrical controls and systems for powered equipment (generators, transformers, etc.)
