The Value Stream Director - MRO, is responsible for building and maintaining a successful customer base for our MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) services, while ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships between customers and Ontic. Design sales and marketing strategies to support new product transfers working with Business Development and Operations.  Working with MRO administration, design and maintain an efficient order processing system that meets all business, regulatory and customer expectations including turnaround time requirements.  Ability to build trust-based relationships will be critical to success.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES FOR THIS JOB 

  • Nurture current customer relationships to maximize recurring business 

  • Establish pricing in coordination with cost accounting. Participate in pricing policy creation, implementation, and oversight.  Occasional cost analysis using historical data. 

  • Technical liaison on MRO product/publication issues with support from Engineering.  

  • Troubleshoot sales issues and roadblocks 

  • Manage the forecasting process, frequently updating to optimize sales/inventory levels. 

  • Monitor, analyze competitive threats, adjusting strategy, production schedule and tactics for best results. 

  • Negotiate and manage major MRO contracts and orders, or where special oversight is needed. 

  • Backup license sales activities, including presentations, proposals, negotiation, evaluation. 

  • Establish and coordinate sales strategies of the overhaul/repair business. 

  • Coach and develop staff in achievement of team sales and customer service goals. 

  • Work closely with manufacturing manager to streamline processes, achieve productivity and OTD (on-time delivery) goals and reduce TAT (turn-around-time). 

  • Provide support of newly transferred and integrated repair programs. 

  • Prepare for and attend trade shows, conferences, meetings, and other regional or national promotional opportunities. 

  • Travel required – 10%
