Johnson Service Group is looking for a Water Conservation Analyst for one of our Client’s.  This person would participate in the development, administration, and evaluation of the Client's water conservation and demand management programs.

This person should have an interest in educating people about water conservation and sustainable landscaping; basic knowledge of sustainable landscaping practices; outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities; and strong computer and oral communication skills.


  • Collection and distribution of program information.
  • Preparation of reports and program evaluations.
  • Policy review and development, and coordination of activities.
  • Assist water supply planning efforts by researching alternative sources and performing reliability analysis.
  • Perform a variety of tasks related to the assigned area of responsibility.
  • This position will have various outreach responsibilities, including planning and staffing environmental events and workshops.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with multiple local, state, and/or federal agencies.


  • Experience in Program management, data analysis, outreach skills, and water conservation knowledge.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and cloud-based databases to help schedule, track, and document interactions with the public and to help write reports.
  • Customer service skills to help coordinate and schedule appointments.
  • Organization skills to prioritize and track the duties listed above.
  • Ability to travel to properties to assist and/or shadow personnel from either program to better understand their job duties.
  • Interpersonal skills (written and verbal) and research skills are essential to communicate to the public any relevant regulations accurately and independently, program incentives, and resources.
  • The Water Conservation Analyst will be required to work from home and occasionally from the main office during the COVID-19 pandemic. Required work from home factors include the ability to complete work remotely; access to a home environment with appropriate lighting, seating, and other basic conditions to ensure an ergonomic workspace; and dependable communication through virtual platforms with and without a webcam.
  • One (1) year administering or implementing water conservation and/or demand management programs.
  • Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in environmental studies, physical or biological sciences, horticulture, public administration, or a related field.  Directly related experience may be substituted for the college requirement on the basis of one and one-half years of experience for one year of education to a maximum of four years.
