Johnson Service Group is looking for an Assistant Biologist for one of our Clients in San Jose. Â Provide biological services support for routine operations and maintenance activities within the Water Utility Enterprise (WUE) including Dam Maintenance, Raw Water Operations, and Pipeline Maintenance Programs.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for conducting biological surveys.
Will prepare field reports.
Create biological clearance memorandums.
Qualifications:
Â
Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in biology, ecology, botany, zoology, or a related discipline in a life sciences field.  May substitute a Master’s degree in biology, ecology, botany, zoology, or a related discipline in a life sciences field from an accredited college or university for one year of the required experience.
One (1) year of experience performing any of the following: preconstruction surveys, on-site construction monitoring, general habitat/impact assessments, special-status species surveys, nesting bird surveys, point counts, mammal surveys, amphibian and reptile surveys, fisheries/aquatic sampling surveys (wetland delineations, plant health and vigor assessments, CRAM assessments, etc.).
Rate starting at $43.60
