A&P Mechanic 

Position Summary
As the Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic, you will service, repair and overhaul aircraft to ensure airworthiness.  Works under minimal supervision.


General Responsibilities:
  • Has intermediate knowledge of all areas of the aircraft and assigned work area. Repair, modify, replace, or otherwise perform routine aircraft maintenance work in specialized areas of aircraft.
  • Develop repair schemes utilizing SRM or Engineering data. Conduct operational tests.
  • Communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise.
  • Complete job assignments in a timely manner.
  • Read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repair, replacement, or modification.
  • Responsible for accurately clocking to jobs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

A&P Mechanic:
• Inspects, maintains, repairs, and overhauls aircraft components and systems such as engines, landing gear, hydraulics, flight controls, and avionics to ensure they're safe and airworthy
• Utilize OEM and Engineering drawings to repair aircraft systems
• Diagnose issues, replace parts, perform detailed inspections, and document all maintenance according to federal regulations
• Troubleshoot flight control systems
• Commercial aviation or equivalent military aviation maintenance experience required
• A&P License Preferred, not required
Qualifications:
  • FAA Airframe license, or A&P license preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum 2+ years of related commercial aircraft MRO experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to effectively speak and communicate, read, and write in English.
  • Must be authorization to work in the US for any employer.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Boeing 737 systems MRO experience
  • A&P License

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee will also be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to handle and climb ladders and aircraft stairs.
