Salary: $140K
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize software applications tailored for aerospace systems, considering factors such as efficiency, reliability, and safety.
Utilize programming languages and tools relevant to aerospace applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with aerospace engineers to integrate applications into larger aerospace systems, ensuring seamless functionality and interoperability.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of applications within the aerospace environment to identify and address potential issues.
Work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for aerospace applications, taking into account performance, security, and other critical factors.
Translate technical requirements into detailed specifications for application development.
Identify opportunities for performance improvement in existing aerospace applications and implement enhancements to meet or exceed project goals.
Conduct performance testing and analysis to ensure optimal functioning of applications under various conditions.
Prepare comprehensive documentation for aerospace applications, including technical specifications, user manuals, and testing procedures.
Keep documentation up-to-date and ensure it complies with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including aerospace engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure a coordinated and efficient development process.
Communicate technical concepts and progress effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Stay informed about industry regulations and standards related to aerospace applications.
Ensure that developed applications comply with relevant aerospace regulations and certifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to aerospace applications during development, testing, and deployment phases.
Provide technical support and expertise to address challenges encountered during the application lifecycle.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelors in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
5+ years of equivalent demonstrated technical experience in aerospace environment
Electrical Engineering background with emphasis on power electronics and motion control systems
Proven experience in aerospace application development and integration.
Knowledge of methods for gap analysis, competitive analysis, and specific market requirements from a technological, business, and operational perspective is essential Strong understanding of aerospace systems and their components.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to aerospace technology.
Working knowledge of communication busses (CAN, EtherCAT, MODBUS etc.)
Experience supporting customers with complex drives
Superior technical engineering expertise and listening/communication skills are to be complemented with a high level of sales and marketing talent.
Must have documented achievement in the ability to prospect, create interest, negotiate, and close on sales with a sophisticated and technically oriented client base.
Familiarity with brushless motor/controller systems is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident as defined by ITAR regulations
