JSG is hiring a Software Analyst/Architect for Integrated Mobile/Cloud Application Development in Alameda, CA is seeking a SW analyst and architect for integrated mobile/cloud applications, for a long-term contract position. This role will have you working on advanced R&D product development in the medical device industry. With a high level of independence, design software applications and lead development activities to support new applications development and/or upgrades to existing applications.
Responsibilities include:
Working at the nexus of research scientists and developers, transform scientific concepts and algorithms into technical design specifications.
Strategic Development and Engineering Design Perspective: Must be able to understand complex SW requirements and features and synthesize an application and system design from the functional application level down to the detailed implementation level.
Design the application using software analysis methodologies such as object-oriented analysis and design. Must have current or previous hands-on experience with a software analysis methodology.
Guide the development team in the detailed software design and implementation to produce robust software. Must have previous hands-on coding experience.
Generate and control documentation required to meet the quality and regulatory requirements of a medical product, such as Product Requirement, Design and Development Plans, Design Specifications, Risk Analysis, etc.
Communicate SW development project status at a technical level.
Working with program management, develop project schedule and cost/budget estimates.
Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years’ experience in a technical SW development role and 5 years’ experience in lead role of project teams.
Extensive experience with the use of a software analysis methodology such as OOA.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering (preferred) or computer science.
Experience integrating mobile applications with cloud systems.
Must have thorough understanding of the software development process with the ability to adapt to project circumstances.
Knowledge of SW Development Management tools such as project scheduling, defect tracking, work breakdown structures, time and cost reporting.
Experience working in an FDA regulated industry is a plus.
Must be local to the Bay Area, CA. Work site is hybrid, combination of remote and on-site as required.
Pay Rate $80-110 per hour
