Job Description
Johnson Service Group, a nationally recognized staffing firm, is targeting an Associate Project Manager for our industrial manufacturing client in the Benicia, CA area. The incumbent will be leading small systems and service project executions, ensuring they are in accordance with specific specifications standards, procedures, and targets. Ensure safe, effective, and efficient project coordination, from initial assignment to completion in a fast-paced position, with high level communication across internal/external customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities: Â
- Directly responsible for management of projects including time and materials, fixed price jobs, contractual obligations, schedulers to staff each job accordingly for labor, delivery of drawing, execution of on time shipment, invoice coordination and execution.
- Financial tracking and ownership of profit, costs, and coordination between financial teams to update forecasting and close out costs. Additionally, invoicing, back charges, escalation, delays, warranty, and cost of quality changes.
- Coordination with proposal team for review of orders, technical review, questions, and issues that may arise in the field. Support
- Work with proposal team to review orders from a technical and commercial standpoint during order entry. Support quotations and booking of change orders, in addition to initiating price change requests, mark up applications, quotations and change schedule implementation.
- Serve as the customer point of contact, handling all technical inquiries, and supporting all aspects of the project to minimize risks and provide updates.
- Ensure proper management of HSE compliance, managing deliveries, material ordering/tracking/receiving, vendor vetting and documentations while relying on SAP technology.
- Travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or technical/business Field.
- 5 years of experience or combination of experience and education.
- PMP Certification preferred, or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
- Experience in power delivery equipment, 3 phase power theory, power systems studies, electrical principles, transmissions, distribution, power generation, etc.
- Management of multiple projects simultaneously, while using SAP, Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the US.
