Job Description Summary:
Provides hands-on support to Engineering/Production/Manufacturing by performing activities such as, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electro/mechanical systems. Applications may include electronic circuits, power distribution, life/vehicle critical safety systems and battery systems. Work is performed from schematics, diagrams, written descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Â Performs work in both Laboratory setting as well as work on manufacturing floor or on vehicle depending on manufacturing needs.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
o  Building different components and assemblies for all groups across Blue Origin in all different environments (development, test and flight).
o  Assisting with assembly of new and updated designs by working directly with engineering to determine best practices for assembly.
o  Giving regular input on manufacturing improvement opportunities or build changes leading to more efficient assembly. Â
o  Serve both internal and external customers across multiple systems and multiple platforms; each Technician is a valued part of the chain that supports safe human spaceflight.Â
o  A focus on safety, collaborative teamwork, and quality allows us to work together to determine the best path forward, balancing speed and safety to create high-quality components that will propel future astronauts and payloads into space for the improvement of mankind.
 Experience with applying torque to fasteners/components.
o  Fabricating, terminating, and repair/testing of wire harnesses.
o  3 or more years’ experience in Aerospace Avionics or related fields.
o  Experience inspecting and certifying work performed to relevant standards and specifications.
o  Attention to detail and passion for space.
o  Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
o  Able to lift 50 lbs.
o  Ability to work a 40-hour work week (4x10’s) with occasional overtime to support launch schedules.
o  Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
o  Experience with application and removal of polymerics (staking, potting. Encapsulation and conformal coating).
