Job Description

Johnson Service group is seeking a Business Analyst for a 1-year contract position. 
Our client is a premier digital healthcare company whose 340B team is looking for a business analyst
The Business Analyst will support analyzing 340B business functions, processes, and activities to improve computer-based business applications.  An extensive working knowledge of SQL Server using T-SQL is required for analysis and troubleshooting business data such as pharmacies and claim data.
Responsibilities:
  • Primary responsibility includes understanding the scope, collecting, analyzing, defining, and documenting requirements
  • Utilize Microsoft SQL or equivalent tool set to analyze data and troubleshoot issues
  • Must have the ability to communicate with client business and technology representatives concerning data format and transfer requirements to derive a technological solution that would meet a given business requirement
  • Must be able to develop QA test cases for requirements and participate in QA testing as needed
  • Ability to walk end users through fixes to showcase how the solution would work in production
  • Negotiate with stakeholders on timelines and ensure delivery as committed by prioritizing tasks to balance the immediate and long-term needs of the business
  • Ability to review business rules in existing applications
  • Understand pharmacy claim data and transform data from disparate sources for use within the organization
  • Assist in other technical projects as needed
  • Support Project Portfolio administrative functions as needed using Smartsheet, Salesforce, Azure Dev and change management applications
Required Skills:
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio
  • Experience with data analysis using SQL, data mapping, data entry, and reporting
  • Experience documenting ETL processes and writing Business and functional/non-functional requirements along with test scenarios.
  • Solid, independent worker (this position will likely be based in the applicant’s home)
  • Creativity and flexibility are a must.  This is a dynamic environment and requires a candidate that is comfortable facing new challenges
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst and CBAP certification
  • 3 years’ experience utilizing Microsoft SSMS, SQL Reporting Services or equivalent tool set for importing and transforming data using T-SQL scripting

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years related experience in 340B, PBM, hospital, or retail pharmacy environment, working with pharmacy data, 340B drug pricing program, and in-depth understanding of prescription claims adjudication and claims platforms
  • 5+ years’ experience utilizing Microsoft SSMS, SQL Reporting Services or equivalent tool set for importing and transforming data using T-SQL scripting
  • Experience with data interchange files. ASC X12 Electronic Document Interchange (EDI) standards, HL7, NCPDP
  • Experience with EMR systems (EPIC, Centricity, Meditech)
  • Experience in project management tools such as Smartsheet or Microsoft Project
  • Experience in documentation repository tools such Confluence or Sharepoint.
  • Experience with working with SSIS packages
  • Prior work experience with change control and project management
