Johnson Service Group (JSG), a nationally recognized recruiting firm, is assisting our manufacturing client in finding a Buyer in Ladson, South Carolina. This position is responsible for fulfilling the material requirements plan, daily communication with suppliers, and updating ERP systems with supplier and product data.
Responsibilities:
Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, pricing, shipping updates, and documentation
Consistently update ERP system with lead times and update In Transit Tracker information
Consolidate material requirements and drawings from ERP system
Create and issue Purchase Orders to approved suppliers
Provide weekly status reports to supervisor.
Respond to inquiries regarding part availability and order MRO supplies as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Administration with 3-5 years of experience in an ISO 9001 work environment
Prior experience with an ERP system
Must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and well-organize
Proficient in Microsoft Office
