JSG is hiring a Buyer in Stanford, CA. This is a 100% onsite role.
Pay rate: $25
Job Responsibilities:
Frequent contact with the customer and site personnel electronically, over the phone and in person.
Works with suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing and meeting customer delivery requirements.
Monitoring price increases and communicating changes as necessary to the Continuous Improvement group
Handles all Exceptions, including A/P Match Exceptions associated with purchasing and the expediting of open orders
Purchasing and/or Returning material for stock inventory
Reviewing Purchase orders and faxing and/or EDI over to vendors
Monitoring to make sure fax and/or EDI's went through and confirm expected ship dates and updating system.
Resolving errors on purchase orders as required.
Investigating and determining what/how/ why material came in incorrectly or damaged (for non-conformances)
Maintain confidentiality of supplier and customer data
Filing Purchase Orders
Reviewing reports for stock outs and expediting open orders
Assisting with stock rotations as needed
Have general knowledge of all purchasing process including stock, non-stock and services
Other duties as assigned
