Johnson Service Group is a nationwide staffing company looking for a CI Manager with 7-10 years’ experience working with various departments to implement BI dashboards and KPI definitions that are standardized and data integrity is maintained. Must have strong Lean Manufacturing. Six Sigma Black Belt preferred. This is a Direct hire and on-site job in the Oxnard, CA area for an Aircraft company.
Candidates must currently reside in the local area and be able to reliably commute to Oxnard, CA. This role is not eligible for remote work or relocation.
Salary: $121,432-202,388 per year DOE
Position Summary
The Continuous Improvement Manager is the site level) and is accountable for driving measurable customer satisfaction, operational and financial performance improvement. This role leads to the deployment, governance, and sustainment of company’s elements across the site, with primary focus on cost productivity, KPI performance improvement, and disciplined execution. The position partners with all functional leaders to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory, and People metrics.
Core Responsibilities
Own deployment, execution, and sustainment of all company’s elements at the site, including:
Tiered Daily Management Boards
KPI architecture and performance dashboards
Kaizen events and structured improvement initiatives
Cost savings pipeline and validation tracking
Monthly KPI performance reviews
Participation and preparation for Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs)
Visual Management systems
maturity assessments
roadmap execution aligned to enterprise priorities
2. Cost Productivity & Financial Impact
Lead and facilitate site-wide cost productivity initiatives
Develop and maintain cost savings pipeline
Partner with Finance to quantify and validate savings impact to the P&L
Accountable for delivering measurable financial impact tied to site targets.
3. KPI Performance Leadership
Ensure KPI definitions are standardized and data integrity is maintained
Drive implementation of effective countermeasures
Align daily management systems to strategic performance objectives
Ensure consistency between daily boards, monthly reviews, and MBR outcomes
4. Project & Improvement Execution
Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives from problem definition through sustainment
Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies including DMAIC, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, Line Balancing, and Visual Management where applicable
Ensure improvements are sustained through governance, controls, and follow-up audits
5. Cultural & Leadership Influence
Act as the site change agent for operational performance discipline
Influence and challenge functional leaders to improve measurable results
Build internal problem-solving capability across the organization
Promote data-driven decision making and accountability
Maintain strong presence within operational areas to support execution
6. Enterprise Alignment
Align site deployment with enterprise standards and expectations
Participate in cross-site CI collaboration and best practice sharing
Support enterprise maturity assessments
Implement corporate transformation priorities at site level
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field
Lean Sigma training and certification, or equivalent.
7+ years of manufacturing or operations experience
3+ years in a continuous improvement or operational excellence role
Core Competencies
Strong financial acumen with ability to translate operational improvements into measurable P&L impact
Understanding of standard costing, labor absorption, cost structure drivers, and productivity modeling
Advanced analytical and data interpretation capability
Executive-level influencing skills

Ability to operate autonomously as a single-resource CI function
